2015…..God what a FUN year! Miami growing up young, living A GOLDEN LIFE/// The Healthy social life always kept a full studio of friendly faces and true INSPIRATION! this piece was a 2 day painting, i REMBER this more than anything else about the painting. Day 1 was the facial structure, Day 2 was the body. the difference in style from the body to the face is an easy way for me to demastraight how the influence of surroundings can influence the strokes of a paintbrush …. at least to me (written drake edited sober) ….eventually
“Peacock’in with Cacquembo”
Mannnnnn….Growing up in Miami i saved a tonnnnn of young memories that i am forever thankful for, one of them that i am especially thankful for was never being far from the water……if not the bay, you could always catch you fix off some good ol canal/ lake therapy. of all the memories spent t in florida’s canals with friends, flipping a shiner at some peas was always a guarantee god time. from picking up your buddy in your old first car to hitting the bait shop and picking what spot to terrorize next . florida peacock fishing was always a golden time
“Graffiti Permit”
2015 transitioning from straight lettering in aerosol to character then brush work/ reference images not from the head. Fish caught my attention heavier than anything else . spent plenty of time growing up on the water, sport fishing always had my attention but enjoying time in the presence of these species un interrupted always brought me more satisafaction.
1st Art walk in Islamorada, I had no idea what i was doing …. new to the keys as an inspiring marine life artist, i began getting friendly with the locals by sharing my art work and the inspiration behind the pieces via word of mouth at the local bars. landed the local newspaper through a connection and caught wind of an monthly art show down the road in islaorada. i was a new to the keys face wise, grew up spending many days down on the islands but as a young 24 yr old spreading his wings i could not imagine landing anywhere else on the planet. a new largo local i landed the connection at a local art shop/framing spot and made artist of the month. along with the exposure i also got a free spot at that months art walk. many hands were naked that night and relationships born. this piece below is the first painting ever sold in the keys. the piece that opened the door to my dream of becoming a marine life local artist ! this night my eyes were opened clear and my life forever changed.
